Learn more about artist Mark Rothko in this Tony Award winning play.
Editor's Pick
In 1958, abstract expressionist Mark Rothko was commissioned to paint several large pieces for the new Four Seasons restaurant in New York. It was a volatile time for the artist—who was conflicted about his commercial success—which playwright John Logan outlines in Red, about the working relationship between Rothko and his young assistant, Ken. Decorated with six Tony Awards on Broadway, this production features Denis Arndt (who you’ll recognize from countless television appearances, from LA Law to Ally McBeal to Grey’s Anatomy) in the role of the eccentric artist.
